1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes information handled when someone visits Makr.ai, creates an account, uses the creative workspace, connects another service, purchases credits, shares an artifact, or contacts the team. It applies to the Makr.ai services operated by N/A Records, Inc., which is the controller of personal information described here.

2. Information we handle

We handle the information needed to operate accounts, complete requested work, secure the Services, and support users.

  • Account and profile information, such as name, email address, authentication method, and account identifiers.
  • User content, including prompts, uploads, project instructions, conversations, generated artifacts, revisions, and sharing choices.
  • Connected-service information and content you choose to access through integrations such as storage, communications, or publishing services.
  • Purchase, credit, and entitlement information. Payment-card details are handled by the applicable payment provider rather than entered into the creative workspace.
  • Technical and usage information, such as device and browser details, IP-derived request information, timestamps, logs, feature activity, security signals, and error data.
  • Messages and other information you send when requesting support, reporting a problem, or providing feedback.

3. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users; provide requested features; generate, store, edit, and share artifacts; preserve project continuity; operate integrations; process purchases; prevent abuse; protect accounts; diagnose failures; support users; and improve service reliability and experience.

Service improvement may use operational measurements, error reports, abuse signals, feedback, and aggregated or de-identified usage information. It does not include training generative models on private prompts, uploads, conversations, projects, or artifacts.

4. Private content and AI training

Makr.ai does not use private prompts, uploads, conversations, projects, or artifacts to train generative models. This protection applies to free and paid users.

We do not authorize an AI or media provider to use private content for its own model training when that content is sent only to complete a feature you requested. If a selected provider or model has a material exception, we will disclose it before use and provide a reasonable way to avoid that provider when practical.

If we later offer a voluntary data-contribution program, it will be off by default, require separate affirmative consent, identify the data and purpose, and allow prospective withdrawal. Accepting the Terms or using a free plan will not enroll you.

5. Providers and international processing

Makr.ai relies on service providers for infrastructure, authentication, AI and research, media generation, storage, communications, analytics, and payments. Depending on the feature you request, information may be processed by providers such as Cloudflare, Google, OpenRouter or the model provider selected through it, OpenAI, Fal.ai, and Stripe. The exact provider can vary by feature and model selection.

We require providers to process private content only for the services they supply to us, subject to their contracts and applicable law. Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

6. When information is shared

We share information with providers to perform a requested feature; when you deliberately publish, export, or share an artifact; when you connect a third-party service; to protect users or the Services; to comply with law; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets subject to appropriate protections.

Public-share links expose the artifact you choose to share. They are not intended to expose your private account or conversation. Review an artifact before making its link public and remove sensitive information you do not want others to access.

We do not sell private prompts, uploads, conversations, projects, or artifacts. We do not share them for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Cookies and local storage

Makr.ai and its authentication service use cookies and similar browser storage for sessions, security, preferences, draft continuity, and product operation. We may use limited measurement technologies to understand reliability and product use. We will provide any consent or opt-out controls required for non-essential analytics or advertising technologies before enabling them for affected users.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain account records, conversations, project data, generated artifacts, and operational logs for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, preserve work you have chosen to keep, secure the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and maintain billing records. The period depends on the type of information, account status, user choices, and legal or security needs.

You may delete individual content where the product provides that control or contact us to request account deletion. Deletion removes information from active systems subject to reasonable time for processing. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or longer where required for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Free and paid plans may have different clearly disclosed storage allowances or inactive-content retention periods. A shorter plan-based retention period does not change the no-training promise. Where practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to export affected work before plan-based deletion.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You may contact hello@makr.ai to ask for access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Depending on where you live, you may also have a right to appeal a denied request, use an authorized agent, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator.

We may verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect account and project information, including access controls and security monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

11. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact hello@makr.ai so we can investigate and delete it where required. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

12. Changes and contact

This Policy is effective August 12, 2026. We may update it as the Services or law changes. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide reasonable notice through the Services, by email, or by another appropriate method. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to hello@makr.ai or mailed to N/A Records, Inc., 17 Edy’s Island Way, Menemsha, MA 02535.
